The hackathon is open to developers, policy researchers, cybersecurity professionals, designers, AI/ML engineers, students, startup founders, and tech enthusiasts from around the world. Both individuals and teams are welcome.
While you can participate individually, we encourage team formation (2-5 members) for better collaboration and comprehensive solutions. Team formation sessions will be organized before the hackathon.
Yes, participation in the hackathon is completely free. There are no registration fees or hidden costs.
This is a global hybrid hackathon. Participants can join online from anywhere in the world, with select physical locations available for local participants. All sessions, mentorship, and judging will be accessible both online and offline.
Projects will be evaluated based on innovation (30%), technical implementation (25%), policy impact (25%), user experience (10%), and presentation (10%).
There are no restrictions on the tech stack. You can use any programming languages, frameworks, libraries, or tools that best suit your solution. We encourage using modern, scalable technologies.
Yes, all participants will receive a certificate of participation. Winners and special category awardees will receive additional recognition certificates and prizes.
The hackathon runs for approximately 36 hours, starting on 26 January 2026 at 9:00 AM and ending on 27 January 2026 at 6:00 PM, followed by judging and winner announcements on 28 January 2026.
